The Christmas season is full of so many rich traditions, one of which is gathering around the piano for a carol or two. Here’s that holiday classic "God Hates The World" as performed by members of the Westboro Baptist Church:
This is one time that I do wish the RIAA would step-in and protect their copyright.
For those of you not familiar with the Westboro Baptist Church and its leader Fred Phelps, this is not a joke. They are known for picketing the funerals of gay men and American soldiers. They are completely serious in their message and run some nice web sites spreading their special version of God’s love and tolerance.
JESUS….{no pun intended}… I made it through 57 seconds of that crap, that’s all I could stomach. Even tho you try to let us have “free speech” on your site, every comment I’d LIKE to make is so vile, I think I’ll just keep my mouth shut! I’d just like to be there when THEIR “judgement day” comes and God throws this f’ing video in their faces.. first starting out with “Now, about the children YOU exploited in making this garbage, THEN I’ll address the issue of all the gay men and women dying to keep YOUR miserable asses safe…”
(oops… I said I’d shut up, didn’t I….)
That’s not my God that they’re singing about. So disturbing. So disheartening.

Ahhhh, the “God Hates Fags” family. Out of all the fucked up wingnuts that Howard Stern has ever had on his show, this bunch of psychos are probably the most loathsome. I think it’s good that people expose these vile bastards. Howard had them play a Family Feud type game against Wendy the Retard’s family one time, but even he stopped having them on when they threatened to protest the funeral of those Amish kids who were shot in their school.
The thing that bothers me the most is that their idiotic antics managed to chip away the right to free speech by being so vile that they lost a lawsuit by the father of a dead soldier whose funeral they picketed. Thanks a lot, Fred! While I probably won’t go hit the streets and protest at Dick Cheney’s funeral, I would like to have it open as an option.
Wow. I would laugh if it wouldn’t be so pathetic. Who could hate this much? Who could use God in such a way to show hatred? And don’t chide me here. I’m easing into Lutheranism and liking what I’ve found. Love each other. Love your neighbor as yourself. We as a community need to transcend this garbage and rise above it, because we are above it.

That, and I like to laugh at them.
Personally, I can’t laugh at these people. They twist God and the Bible into a theology that’s hate-filled and self-serving.
And that sucks.
But then, I guess that’s not really a new thing.

OMG, they come with their own built-in mockery. Do they realize that nobody likes them? Nobody. When their protesting at the funeral of a soldier or a gay man, they shouldn’t be ridiculed. They should be laughed at. Like big knee-slapping belly laughs.
Because, frankly, they’re hilarious. And I say that in the most derisive and mocking way possible.

I am so disgusted I can barely type. There aren’t enough words to express my revulsion.
I’m confused. I didn’t listen to the song, but from the title, I believe they’re mistaken.
They claim to be Christians. And Christians believe in the Bible. Doesn’t it say in the Bible, in the book of John, chapter 3, verse 16:
“For God so loved the world, that He gave His only begotten Son, that whoever believes in Him shall not perish, but have eternal life.”
See? There it says God LOVES the world, not hates it.
I mean, I could be wrong. It’s not my religion.
(In seriousness, I knew they were crazy and far out from Christianity, but this just cinches it that they’re so far gone that they’ve started their own religion and they’re really not Christians anymore, but their own twisted sect.)
